Parakai Aviation Day 2010 March 18, 2010
The day was fine once a few dark clouds bearing showers departed. Photos from the event can be seen on the photos page here.
Alternately the complete flickr set can be seen http://www.flickr.com/photos/chris021/sets/72157623466467037/
Harvey Lockie writes about the event ”Current and retired Air NZ pilots George
Richard and Dave Simpson worked from the Communications Trailer (Popemobile) to ensure safe operations, the four ‘Mrs Lockies’ (Carreen, Kirin, Catherine and Angelle) handled the Airfield Office, the three biggest ‘Miss Lockies’ (Analise, Emma, Bella) tramped the field with chilly bins of drinks etc, the Air Training Cadets provided aircraft handling services, and many Parakai Aviation Club and Northland Microlight Club members handled all sorts of necessary tasks… thanks for your great efforts to make it a good day fellas!”
